We know that animal welfare is an important consideration to many consumers and has been one of the key strands of the organic offer. The organic standards put in place excellent foundations for good animal welfare but OMSCo have recognised that we need to look to continuously improve outcomes in this area.
The launch of the Good Dairy Awards is an excellent opportunity for OMSCo to offer these plans for improvement up for external scrutiny and we look forward to working with CIWF to improve farm animal welfare even further."
