ICCAW Partnership

The International Cooperation Committee of Animal Welfare (ICCAW) is a non-governmental organisation approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China, and registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2013.

ICCAW is affiliated to the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC).

ICCAW aims to promote animal welfare in China by encouraging the implementation of efficient and welfare-friendly farming systems to improve the quality and safety of animal products.

Through our partnership with ICCAW, Compassion aims to improve pig, broiler and laying hen welfare standards and raise public awareness on farm animal welfare issues across China, through educational programmes, awards and media activities.
