We are delighted to announce that the European Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards will be held at the Salle Wagram in Paris on the evening of Wednesday 30th October 2013.
The Awards are going to be bigger and better this year with one ceremony taking place in Paris for the entire European market, including the UK.
The evening will be hosted by Sheila Dillon, food journalist and presenter of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Food Programme’.
The Awards recognise and award food companies that are committed to implementing substantial policy changes that result in positive impacts for farm animals by meeting a specific set of awards criteria. They showcase good practice and commitment to higher farm animal welfare within the food industry.
As well as our Good Egg, Good Chicken, Good Dairy and Good Pig Awards, our first European Retailer Awards will be presented to four of the supermarket retailers that have participated in the 2013 Supermarket Survey.
Over 311 million animals are set to benefit each year from the policies and commitments of the companies we have awarded since the programme began in 2007 and we look forward to increasing this number in 2013!
